He has consistently been a multi-million dollar producer of residential and commercial transactions in these markets from both a real estate and mortgage brokerage perspective. Agustín has had the opportunity to participate in the development of the South Florida real estate market’s transition into a truly international real estate market. He also has had the privilege of contributing to the natural evolution of the traditional real estate business model into what IFG embodies, a boutique full-service real estate firm that incorporates a strong belief in Agustín’s business adage: “Exceptional Service. While growing his full-service real estate firm, Agustín has been an instructor at Miami-Dade Community College (MDCC) teaching Real Estate Principles and Practices. This class, which is a pre-licensing requirement to become a Real Estate Associate, covers topics tested by the Florida Real Estate Commission. His curriculum includes, but is not limited to, in depth instruction on the following topics: real property, liens, titles, contracts, tax factors, mortgages, property evaluation, real estate market, licensing requirements, legal aspects of the real estate business and property management. Serving as a professor at MDCC provides Agustín with the opportunity to fine-tune his teaching skills and apply them to his own real estate school, Intercontinental School of Real Estate, LLC, where he offers pre-licensing, post-licensing, continuing education and specialty courses for both Real Estate and Mortgage Brokerage. Agustín offers these courses either in-house as part of an intimate group setting or as distance education.
Before starting his own businesses, Agustín was President and Principal Broker of Sun Mortgage Corporation, where he originated and brokered loans upwards of three million dollars resulting from his analyses of his clients’ financial needs. Based on his analyses, Agustín would recommend appropriate loan structures while representing the clients through the complete process of residential and investment real estate acquisitions. He also dedicated several years to financial advisory roles with prominent brokerage houses Citibank, FSB and Prudential Securities. Agustín’s roles with both Citibank and Prudential positioned him to work closely with existing and prospective clients with regard to management of their assets and accomplishment of their financial milestones. Both roles also allowed him to travel extensively internationally, in particular throughout South and Central America, to service his clients on a personal basis, thus affording him acknowledgment as a top producer with extensive international market share. While at Prudential, Agustín was recognized with the esteemed award of “Top Gun”, awarded only to the best producing financial advisors within the organization. Agustín obtained his National Association of Securities Dealers (“NASD”) Series 7 and North American Securities Administrators Association (“NASAA”) Series 63 and 65 licenses while in the securities industry.
